The selectee for this position serves as an IT Specialist (APPSW/INFOSEC) in the IT/IM Department, Corporate Operations and Total Force, Fleet Readiness Center Southeast, Jacksonville, FL.

Duties
·        Responsible for designing, coding in specifically object-orient programming with java.

·        Design, develop, test, document and implement client/server, internet-enabled applications, applying object-oriented programming technologies.

·        Use JAVA, JDBC, XML, HTML, CSS, SOAP, RET, HTTP, PL/SQL, SQL and other software.

·        Contribute information and documentation for Security Plans.

·        Provide technical direction and guidance to junior IT Specialist.

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. For GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one or more years of progressively related specialized experience in the same or similar work at a level of difficulty and responsibility that has provided me with the knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or competencies to satisfactorily perform GS-11 level IT Specialist (APPSW/INFOSEC) work.  To be acceptable, your specialized experience must reflect the following: 1) assisting in the design, development, testing, documenting and implementing of client/server, internet-enabled applications using JAVA, JDBC, XML, HTML, CSS, SOAP, REST, HTTP, web services, PL/SQL; 2) assisting in develop, review and implement software configuration management procedures including procedures for configuration control for software in development and operational environments for all tasks related to Java software development; 3) assisting in conduct problem resolution during system development, testing and post implementation/production.   My IT-related experience demonstrates each of the four competencies as defined: (1)Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail; (2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services; (3) Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately; (4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.  OR  a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or a degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks. Must be able to obtain an interim and/or final (e.g., confidential/secret/top secret, etc.) security clearance prior to entrance on duty AND must be able to maintain the required level of clearance while employed in the subject position.  Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Selectee must obtain and maintain a current DOD 8570/8140 or equivalent certification as required for the position within 6 months.

Minimum of 40 hours of Cyber IT/CSWF related continuous learning annually.
